Election of 1800
The election of 1800 is also known as the Revolution of 1800. The election was basically a rematch for Jefferson and Adams. Both ended getting the same electoral votes which left the decision of who will become the president between the House of Representatives. During this time however, the House of Representatives was under the control of the Federalist which was lame luck for Jefferson. The House of Representatives saw Jefferson as a principle foe but Hamilton, one of the leaders at time and hated Adam, convinced them that Jefferson would be the better president. Because Jefferson won, there would be a instant change in the leadership from Federalist to Republic which is why the election is also known as the Revolution of 1800.
